SEP 1993 2.0i Sport now has electric front windows and mirrors. OCT 1993 Limited Edition (750) 'Diamond' 2.3 TD and 2.4i Estates launched in UK. MAR 1994 2.0i Sport Soft Top launched in UK. MAY 1994 Special Edition 'Nautilus' 2.3 TD and 2.4i Estates launched in UK. OCT 1994 Special Edition 'Glacier' 2.3 TD and 2.4i Estates launched in UK. APR 1995 Revised range launched in UK. 2.0i Sport and Sport S (low emission engine, 115 bhp), 2.2i 16v Estate (136 bhp), 2.8 TD Sport, Sport S and Estate (113 bhp), all models have uprated disc brakes (optional anti-lock), improved suspension with gas shock absorbers, larger 16" alloy wheels, central locking, immobiliser, new interior and trim. Sport S has electric front windows/mirrors, sunroof and alloy wheels. New options on Estates include air conditioning and sunroof. DEC 1995 Special Edition 2.0i Sport 'Apache' launched. JAN 1996 Special Edition 2.2i 16v and 2.8 TD 'Diamond' Estates launched in UK. AUG 1996 2.5 TDS Sport, Sport S and Estate (113 bhp) launched in UK. FEB 1997 Special Edition 2.0i 'Niagara' 3-door, 'San-Diego' 2.2i 16v and 2.5 TDS launched. JAN 1998 Special Edition 'Transglobe' 2.0i Sport, 2.2i 16v Estate and 2.5 TDS Estate launched. OCT 1998 Range relaunched including 'shift on the move' 4-wheel drive transmission, modified suspension and chassis, improved economy and noise levels, optional automatic transmission on 2.2i Limited and Sports models and two new engines 2.2 DTi (115 bhp) and 3.2 V6 (205 bhp).

COMMENTS:
Value-for-money leisure/family 4x4 Estate with chunky styling and durable petrol or turbo-diesel engines (later 2.8TD and 2.5TDS are better powered than the 2.3). The 5-door Estates are more practical than the 3-door Sport, though this has a stronger image. Not quite in the Discovery class, but much cheaper.
