1.
Do you think that road tax should be added to petrol prices instead?

If the road tax was added to the price of petrol then we would all be taxed at the rate in which we actually use the roads. The more mileage you do the more tax you pay (The more wear and tear on the roads). Low road use drivers would pay less and less green cars and lorries would pay more. Since the road tax is used to replace road surfaces and facilities then surely it is only fair that people who use the roads more pay more for their upkeep and people who hardly ever use the roads pay less?

3. Do you agree with Fuel blockades?

With the recent fuel blockades and another one on the way the government is being made to rethink its views on this issue. So far it doesn't seem to have made an impact but would persistence would force the issue?

4. Do you think that drivers should be properly re-tested at 60?

There has been talk about making our elderly drivers retake their test when they get to 60 and possibly again at 70 and so on. This might catch those drivers that simply aren't fit to be on the road. Good idea?

5. Do you think that motor companies should be forced to develop electric (No emission) cars?

At a time of dwindling fossil fuel supplies and petrol shortages the day is soon approaching when we will need to exploit the current alternatively-fuelled cars. Where will that technology be by then? It's not very far along the line yet and could do with a kick up the a**e! The government should be offering some sort of incentive for technological development maybe even making alternative development compulsory?

6. Do you think that the test should be made harder?

With more and more drivers on the road every year and stories of potential all out gridlock by 2010 do we need to decrease the amount of drivers by increasing the strictness of the test. This way only the better drivers will be on a quieter road. Fair?
